Cursos ALTE 2006: fechas importantes

•28 Abril de 2006: Publicación de Instituciones seleccionadas para ofrecer cursos en distintas Comunas del País (www.ingles.mineduc.cl)

•2 al 12 de mayo de 2006: Todos los profesores nuevos deberán tomar el Quick Placement Test (QPT) en Instituciones Seleccionadas.

•Desde el 5 de junio: Inicio de Clases.

•Jornada Regional de Redes Pedagógicas Locales: Primer semestre 2006 (abril - junio). En estas jornadas (de un día y medio de duración) se trabaja en torno a objetivos de gestión del Programa Inglés Abre Puertas, además de entregar capacitación en el área de enseñanza del inglés como idioma extranjero.
- Talleres de especialidad: Segundo Semestre 2006: realización de talleres de especialidad con expertos internacionales en “English Language Teaching”. Estos talleres serán regionales y el cornograma está sujeto a confirmación.
Proyectos PME: Concurso Primer semestre 2006, 30 proyectos de $ 2.500.000 ejecución 2006-2007

Visita a Londres

•28 profesores visitan escuelas e instituciones relacionadas con ELT (English Langauge Teaching) en Londres.
•Visita organizadas por Peter Nathan, consultor de SSAT, Specialists Schools and Academies Trust e I-net.
•Visita incluyó un interesante programa cultural
•Todos los profesores beneficiados eran miembros de una Red Pedagógica Local.
•14 profesores coordinadores de Redes fueron beneficiados con esta beca parcial.

•Primera semana: exclusiva para profesores coordinadores de redes, profesores guía de talleres comunales y profesores participantes en el programa de mentores.

"The Teachnet”

started at the end of 2003.The purpose of this network is to give a place where teachers of English coming from different areas of the province could have the opportunity to share their experiences, methodologies, projects and dreams

We have been developing a collaborative work to improve the English language teaching; interacting among peers , exchanging ideas and working hard, making us to feel confident in the use of English
We are supposed to be agents of change…

Leading Works

OCTOBER 2003:

The Teachnet is born, the first meeting takes place with about 12 teachers.
MARCH 2004: Creation of strategies to work with our students “Diagnostic Activities”.

OCTOBER 2004:

First Meeting: “Young Learners Communicating in English”.Supported by the Provincial Department of Education.

MARCH 2005:

The Teachnet applied for a PME (Educational Improvement Project) in order to start the project : Creating a text to Improve Our Students’Reading Skills.
APRIL-DECEMBER 2005:

The members of the Teachnet work hard in the elaboration of the text : “DISCOVERING THE MAULE REGION THROUGH ENGLISH”, supported by the SERNATUR

AUGUST 2005:

The Teachnet on-line.There is a web site created by our teachers, were students and anyone who wants can download information about our activities, our meetings and some pictures too; there are also some links related with English Teaching.

DECEMBER 2005:

The Local Network is invited to the “Primer Encuentro Metodologico de Redes Pedagogicas Locales” Talca . Our students performed “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Lord Of The Rings”, among others.

MARCH 2006:

our text (draft) is published for a preliminar revision by the rest of the members of the Teachnet

Estimados profesores:

Necesitamos su opinión y expresión de interés respecto a un tema: El Ministerio de Educación tiene la intención de enviar a 30 profesores a Londres durante tres semanas, comenzando la última semana de enero 2006 eincluyendo las dos primeras semanas de febrero, a capacitarse en "TeachingEnglish as a foreign language". En este programa los profesores chilenos podrán observar buenas prácticas, asistir a clases, seminarios y reuniones de inglés y explorar diseños curriculares para la enseñanza del inglés como idioma extranjero.

El Ministerio de Educación financiaría todos los gastos relativos a alojamiento y alimentación, además del pago de la capacitación en Londres, pero cada profesor debe financiar su pasaje ida y vuelta a Londres. Valor estimado US$1,500 (mil quinientos dólares=882,000 aproximadamente. La primera prioridad es para los profesores de Redes Pedagógicas Locales con nivel ALTE 3 y para los profesores que han participado en el programa de debates en inglés. Les solicitamos que cada uno de ustedes nos dé una lista de profesores que querrian y podrían hacer esta inversión en pro de su perfeccionamiento. La lista debe incluir
